Copywriting for Create London 0

In May I worked on a copywriting project for arts company Create London.

My brief was to rewrite web and menu copy for a London fast-food social enterprise, and to come up with strapline for the organisation.

Chicken Town in Tottenham serves healthy takeaway fried chicken, but also offers a restaurant and exhibition space, plus training for local people.

My new strapline for them? – CHICKEN TOWN: FRIED WITH BENEFITS.

Garden of Ideas presentation to the House of Lords 0

On 24 June I joined Simon Elliott and the rest of his Garden of Ideas team at the Palace of Westminster to present this extraordinary arts and entertainment project at an event for the House of Lords, hosted by Baroness Lola Young.

Speakers including architects Jolyon Brewis, Jerry Tate and Neil Thomas, theatre producer Jenny King, Auro Foxcroft of Village Underground, Richard Parry from UKTI and development expert Katie Kopec presented their views on this ambitious, large-scale arts and entertainment social enterprise to an audience of lords and arts and enterprise experts.

There were also video presentations from, among others, the British Council’s Graham Sheffield and Tim Smit of the Eden Project. Images and videos of the event, plus the full line-up of speakers can be found here.

At the reception afterwards I interviewed many of the participants, with Be The Image  media consultants doing the filming.

Visit www.gardenofideas.org and follow @GdnOfIdeas for more information about this revolutionary new arts, culture, entertainment and environmental concept.
